The three of us sometimes forget that many people have never had the opportunity to take in a live acoustic performance and especially one in their own home. We forget how unique that has become in this day and age. It's really not as common as it once was. Well we traveled to St Louis a few weeks ago to the home of a husband and wife team who are career AirForce. We were once again reminded of what fun house parties can be. It was so much fun. And the crowd, and I do mean crowd, was old enough/young enough, depending on how you look at it, to appreciate Bruce's take on an old Crowded House song. Yes, we actually do much more than just Celtic. Probably the most heartening moment of the night was meeting a 10 year old musical prodigy (percussionist) who just fell in love with Tom's bodhran and djembe. We had him join us for a few songs and tunes, too. What a fun night!

And speaking of fun nights...We thoroughly enjoyed sharing the stage with Bloomsday at the Normal Theatre. Thanks to all who showed up and traveled from close to two hours away to see us all perform.

We are SO excited about a new Concert Series in Normal, IL. "Bloomsday has teamed up with the historic Normal Theater to bring you a series of concerts featuring Bloomsday and some of their musical friends. For less than the price of a movie, you can enjoy an evening of Irish Music from musicians around the area and beyond. The Normal Theater is a classy, family friendly place and a wonderful room to hear music.

Doors open at 6:30 with all shows starting at 7:00. Shows will last until 9:30 (ish)"-taken from www.bloomsdayband.com

This should be a FUN concert and Bloomsday and SullivanBurton will perform a few tunes/songs together that night as well. You can't miss this one!!

Hey, we are excited to perform for the Live at 5 Spot at the Contemporary Art Center on Friday, February 29. We have some new songs and tunes in rotation these days. And some new twists on almost long forgotten melodies. Hope to see you there!

Only two weeks and Thanksgiving will be upon us. Whew! Have we had a busy Fall...albeit a quiet one from performing, but busy nonetheless. Now that the dust is settling a little we are looking forward to a few performances private and otherwise this holiday season. Check our schedule for details. See you soon!

It is the Thursday evening before our Friday night return to the Market Street Experience in Manito. We are so excited. It is always a great time with such great folks, good food and oh...did we mention the wine? How lucky are we to have a fine winery right here in Central Illinois? Change your plans if you can or make last minute plans to hop in the car and head to Manito.

And while you're at it, you might want to take a nice Sunday drive to the Quad Cities for the Quad Cities Erin Feis. We will be there performing as well as the Larkin Brothers from Chicago. It should be a great time!

It is almost here. August 24, 25 and 26. It is the biggest event for the Irish in downstate Illinois the weekend following the Milwaukee Irish Fest. The St Pat's Society has done a great job of lining up some great musical acts (hey, they have us playing, right? ;-)...) as well as plenty of other entertain and fun for the whole family. It will be a great time for all who venture out. See you soon and wear some green!
